With an investment of £350 million pounds in the Leeds economy, and the creation of up to 3500 retail jobs, the social and economic benefits which a regeneration project of this size brings have a positive impact for the community within which we sit.
As part of our commitment to local communities we have set up a Community Initiative Fund, which will run for the life of the development.
This fund can be accessed by all constituted groups from within the Leeds catchment, or who work for the benefit of Leeds.
A set giving criteria is being established, and groups will be able to put access the bid forms to apply for funding. Funding will be capped and match funding is suggested.
A Community Initiative Fund board has been set up including a selection of the Land Securities team, and Councillor Judith Blake who will meet bi-monthly to discuss and agree funding proposals.
